Habitat Books, a bookstore opened under new ownership by long-time Southern Marin resident Sharon Jones in March 2005, carries book titles to appeal to general and specific reading tastes. The owner's specialty and interest, as a former teacher and concurrent book publisher, is in choosing just the right book to fit or expand personal reading habits, either to be used personally or as a gift.

Sharon has a long-standing love of books and editing and also helps individuals edit and publish books through her other business - Vision Books International (VBI).  VBI Publishing specializes in helping people who might otherwise be interested in self-publishing their fiction, non-fiction, memoirs, and children's books get a full-service editing, publishing and marketing program at very reasonable cost.
